FAQ's

Do I have to have a prescription from my doctor to get any of the products at Performance Bracing & Orthotics?

No, you do not have to have a prescription to purchase a product at PB&O. You will, however have to have a current prescription from a physician for Performance Bracing & Orthotics to file a claim with Medicare or your insurance company.

Will my insurance pay for the foot orthotics or braces my doctor prescribed?

We will verify your insurance benefits to determine if the brace or orthotics prescribed by your physician are covered under your insurance.

Some insurance companies cover durable medical equipment, foot orthotics and orthopedic braces, but this is not a guarantee that your insurance company does.

If the brace or orthotics are covered under your insurance, you will have to pay your copay or coinsurance at the time of service.

If the product is not a covered benefit with your insurance, you can still purchase the product as part of your physician’s recommended plan of care.

When purchasing custom foot orthotics or custom braces without insurance coverage, full payment must be made prior to the order.
